Extremely Stressful Week, but I’m Still Fighting

Hey Y’all!

This week was not all that it cracked up to be – Elder Glaves & I had our bikes stolen from inside our stake center, multiple appointments that we had scheduled for this entire week fell through like melted butter, and our investigators who we were preparing to get baptized next week didn’t come to church…  It’s all good though because I personally thought that my bike getting stolen from INSIDE the church was amusing, ha ha.  We are projecting a whole lot for the month of April and, based on how long I have been out, I may get to go to General Conference in two weeks – honestly I think a couple of messages from the prophet and apostles would help out a whole lot too!

I understand that I will have these types of weeks every once in a while and that was probably why I got to experience it for the first time, because truthfully I have never been so discouraged before & I honestly never put the thought in my mind that you could lose hope and faith that fast.  The truth is though is that Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ are going to break you down to rock bottom and build you back up into the type of saints that they need you to be.  You have to accept the fact that you will go through things that are not pleasant at all but happen for a reason.  The main reason why I am out here still doing this is because of Jesus Christ’s Atonement for all of us.  If we each didn’t have the Atonement in life (whether you’re of the LDS faith or not), then there would be absolutely no purpose in this life and we would have no reason to ask for forgiveness so that we could be perfected before Christ. We are not all going to be perfect of course, but that is why we believe in Christ enough to go to church every Sunday. We all have a purpose in this life, but it is all up to us to find what that purpose in life is.

3 Nephi 13: 19-21

19  “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth where moth and rust doth corrupt, and thieves break through and steal;

20   But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth or rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.

21   For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also”.

Take Care Everyone! I Love & Miss Every Single One Of You!
